About
My career is based in the graphic design industry. I began my career creating medical illustrations while working for a multimedia-advertising agency in New Jersey. Shortly after witnessing the destruction from the September 11th terrorist attacks I relocated to Colorado. I have been working as a graphic designer, photographer and illustrator for a variety of clients in Colorado. I enjoy teaching Graphic Design and Photography at Fairview High School in Boulder Colorado and love working with people.

As an artist, my goal is to create themes and stories that visually explain information about my clients and myself. I have spent many years working with images, text, photo manipulation and structures of composition in design. What satisfy’s my creative side most is getting excited about an idea for a new project and then transferring that idea into images. As an illustrator I am drawn to simple, bold shapes and outlines. As a photographer I am drawn to imagery that is high contrast and detailed. I have been experimenting recently with photo editing and manipulation and am drawn to textures and vignettes.

I enjoy experimenting with new technology and love that the world of digital art and photography is always evolving. As an artist and educator I enjoy being able to be a student and to share my knowledge. I have been trying to analyze connections between the art I create so that I can follow these ideas in to future art making.
