Fairview Student Photography Featured in the National WRKXFMLY Showing HS Photo Assignment

Over the past few weeks, a number of photography students have had their work featured on the WRKxFMLY Showing Photo Assignment Instagram feed. This national assignment involves photography students across the U.S. describing and exploring the push and pull of work and family in their lives.

Fairview students were able to participate in this assignment as a part of the advanced photography class taught by Mrs. Trainor. We hosted professional photographer Jason B. Houston as a facilitator and mentor to the students throughout the entire assignment process. Mr. Houston was present for the brainstorm sessions, a mid-project review and the final critique. Making connections to real-world topics, contemporary themes and working with professional, working artists has been an on-going goal of the Fairview High School Visual Arts program.
